Our studio examines the position of architects in the spatial practice of squatting, we explored the history of this marginalized practice and its role in incubating political and social change. Our students took on the task of understanding legal structures and their relations to spatial justice. moreover, they prepared design proposals for squatting.
This studio was offered to architecture students at the University of Oregon (undergrads and postgrads). It operates under the umbrella of the spatial justice fellowship.
